The box I live in is our response to this question that a participant asked in one of our training programs a few years ago.

It is as relevant to us as it is to our clients. The consulting and training industry has evolved and changed over the 20+ years that we have been working in it. Classroom paper based lessons have given way to online and blended learning approaches.

Our challenge has been to use the technology effectively. How do we bring the intimacy and the practical approach that we know works in the classroom to an online program?

It’s taken us a few attempts and launching a few different concepts, now we have brought all this experience together for The Box I live In.

We are passionate about helping people think and plan for their future. We see it as our responsibility to help people stop looking at their devices, to look up and to start to think and dream a little about their future. Yes, the irony of this statement is not lost on us, given that we create online programs.

The team at The Box I Live In work together because of our shared sense of passion for what we do and because we enjoy it.  Alongside developing our own online programs we work as trainers, facilitators and coaches for a number of small and multinational companies across varied industries and across the globe.

Over the last few years we have focused mainly on training people to be better leaders. We are business people that moved into the training world. Our experience is from running business and leading teams, this means we take a very practical hands on approach to what we do.

When the penny dropped and we understood that our experience and the tools and insights we had acquired over our years, were directly applicable to helping folk lead themselves, that’s when we set about answering the question, “How do you prepare for the future when you don’t know  what it will look like?”
